ABOUT US
From Military Rigidity to Gentle Strength
Hi, I’m Karney - Navy veteran, trauma-informed yoga instructor, and fellow traveler on the path from warrior to gentle warrior.
My journey from Navy service to yoga mat wasn’t a straight line - and yours doesn’t have to be either.
After years in uniform, I carried rigidity in my body and hypervigilance in my mind. Traditional yoga studios felt intimidating and irrelevant. The spiritual elements didn’t resonate. I needed something real.
The ocean became my first teacher, showing me that strength and softness can coexist. Yoga became my practice - but only when I stripped away the fluff and found the genuine healing underneath.
Now, I guide others through the same transformation. Whether you’re active duty, veteran, first responder, or simply seeking movement without intimidation, I understand the unique challenges of transitioning from high-stress environments to healing spaces.
This is yoga without the fluff. Just genuine connection and healing.
